This full day program is an in-depth session that will focus on the unique provisions related to encryption under the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). BIS licensing officers will provide a comprehensive overview of controls on encryption in the EAR, including what items are and are not controlled in Category 5 Part 2, License Exception ENC and mass market provisions (740.17), and encryption classification and licensing.
Prerequisite: The prerequisite for this course is the completion of the Complying with U.S Export Controls Seminar or equivalent experience.
Location/Time: The program will be held at the Sonesta San Jose-Milpitas Hotel, 777 Bellew Drive, Milpitas, CA 95035. Registration will begin at 7:30am. The program begins at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 4:30 p.m.
Registration: The Encryption Seminar registration fee is $475 per person. The fee includes continental breakfast, coffee break, snacks, lunch and seminar materials. The last day to register is Wednesday, September 11, 2024.
