Redding Rancheria Releases Economic Impact Study

Just this week the Redding Rancheria Tribal Government released an “Impact Study on State & Local Economy”, which highlights that the Rancheria’s substantial impacts to local and regional economies. Maria Orozco, Director of Public Relations, shared the following summary:

Redding Rancheria“The Redding Rancheria is excited to share with you the completion of a new study conducted by Beacon Economics, a leading independent economic research firm. The analysis shows that the Redding Rancheria has provided substantial impacts to local and regional economies. The report analyzes the impact of the Redding Rancheria and its casino on the economies of Shasta County, the 1st Congressional District, and California. It discusses economic, fiscal, and social contributions to these regions in 2018.

The Redding Rancheria has and continues to generate tremendous economic activity, support numerous full-time jobs and produce significant tax revenue to support our state, regional and local government activities. The Redding Rancheria has donated millions to local businesses and charities. The Redding Rancheria Community Fund has donated more than $3.5 million since 2002 to Shasta and Trinity Counties.

We are grateful for the support of the community. Additional information about the project plans can be found at www.reddingrancheria-nsn.gov .”

In 2018 in Shasta County alone, 1,921 jobs were supported, $255.6 million in economic output was generated, including $95.5 million in labor income, and $10.7 million in tax revenue was raised.
We at the Redding Chamber of Commerce recognize the support the Redding Rancheria has given in support of our organization, our Forward Redding Foundation, and the business community and greater community. I found this economic study to be an eye-opener to the impact of the “tribe” and its many ventures. For a look at the full report, please CLICK HERE.
