Plenty of Chamber Scholarship Funds, Few Applicants

This is your two-week warning. Each of the past four years, I’ve had the honor of signing scholarship checks to many local students who are pursuing higher education, including trades training. Past recipients include recent high school graduates, current college or trade school students, and local businesspeople who have chosen to go back to school later in life.

Hopeful woman holding a scholarship applicationThanks to the generosity of many of our members, the unique challenge we have this year is that we have more money to give than we have applicants. This may be an opportunity for you or a family member connected to a business in the Redding Chamber of Commerce.

The deadline is June 30th. Another important note is that this scholarship may be renewable, meaning that if a student is granted a scholarship in their first year of college, and they keep their grades up, they would be eligible to apply for another scholarship in successive years.
Help us give our future workforce a boost by sharing this opportunity with people you know and encouraging them to apply today.
