Meet the 2020 Dream Big Award Finalists

2020 Dream Big Awards

More than 700 small business owners from across the country submitted applications for this year’s U.S. Chamber of Commerce Dream Big Awards, which honor the achievements of small businesses and their contributions to America’s economic growth.  Out of those 700 applications, just 24 finalists were named across seven categories: community support & leadership; and green/sustainable, minority-owned, veteran-owned, woman-owned, young entrepreneur, and emerging businesses.  The finalists this year range from a green cleaning business in Maine to a gymnastics studio in Minnesota, and from a teen-run delivery business in Colorado to a healthcare service in Louisiana.  Learn more about the finalists and the award categories below, and join us on October 15 at 2pm ET for the Dream Big Awards Ceremony, as part of The Big Week for Small Business

Dream Big Small Business of the Year Award  
This award recognizes a small business that exemplifies the spirit of innovation, entrepreneurship, and individual initiative. The finalists: 

Community Support and Leadership Award 
New this year, this award recognizes a small business during the coronavirus pandemic that has demonstrated an exemplary level of leadership and community engagement to assist the needs of its community, and to service the needs of its customers, employees, and neighbors. The finalists: 

Emerging Business Achievement Award 
Recognizes a start-up company that has attained outstanding business achievement with fewer than 25 employees and 1-3 years of full-time operation. The finalists: 

Green/Sustainable Business Achievement Award  
Recognizes a small business that has achieved excellence in the creation and implementation of sustainable business practices designed to limit the way a business impacts the environment of its customers, employees, and neighbors. The finalists: 

Minority-Owned Business Achievement Award 
Recognizes a minority-owned small business that has attained outstanding business achievement and exemplifies the significant contributions made by minority-owned businesses in the country. The finalists:  

Veteran-Owned Business Achievement Award 
Recognizes a veteran-owned small business that has attained outstanding business achievement and exemplifies contributions made by veteran-owned businesses in the country. The finalists:  

Woman-Owned Business Achievement Award  
Recognizes a women-owned small business that has attained outstanding business achievement and exemplifies the significant contributions made by women-owned businesses in the country. The finalists: 

Young Entrepreneur Achievement Award 
Recognizes a small business owner, founder or co-founders, aged between 14 and 25 who have attained outstanding business achievement. The finalists:
