Manifestation: This Entrepreneur’s Secret Power

Lisa Rizzo, a white woman with long blonde hair, sits on the floor in front of a pale gray wall. In front of her is a pile of black and white slide-on shoes, some of which have clip-on words of affirmation on their footbeds. Lisa leans on a box bearing the logo of her company, Limitless, in gold upper-case letters.

One form of manifestation is positive self-talk. When Lisa Rizzo was starting her footwear brand, she would frequently remind herself of the impact of her work. — Lisa Rizzo

If you could create your own fantasy board of directors, who would be on it? CO— connects you with thought leaders from across the business spectrum and asks them to help solve your biggest business challenges. In this edition, we ask an expert about how you can take advantage of manifestation as a business leader.

In this edition of “Ask the Board,” we ask Lisa Rizzo, Founder and CEO of Limitless Slides, an LGBTQ+-owned footwear brand, to explain how the law of attraction and manifestation led to her business success.

My journey to creating Limitless Slides—patented, interchangeable affirmation footwear designed to empower and inspire—has been driven by the power of the law of attraction (manifestation) and inspired action. It all started with a simple, yet extremely clear, vision: to blend comfort with positive mental reminders and the ability to interchange messages of empowerment.

By focusing my intentions and taking meaningful steps toward my goals, I turned that vision into reality. Limitless Slides not only offer physical comfort but also serve as a daily reminder that we all have the strength and resilience to manifest our dreams. I want everyone to know they can step into their limitless potential and create the life they desire. It starts with a clear vision and empowering self-talk along the way throughout the journey.

These five tips helped me build the Limitless brand and can help you as well, regardless of your industry or offerings.

Visualize your success with emotion

Visualization is key, but it’s not enough just to see your future success—you need to feel it. When I started Limitless Slides, I didn’t just picture myself building a successful business; I connected with the emotions of what it would feel like to have that success. This connection is powerful because it makes the vision feel real, almost as if it’s already happened. I always say, “Remember your future,” because when you attach emotion to your goals, you anchor yourself to that outcome. This emotional connection gives you the drive and resilience to push through obstacles.

It’s easy to get discouraged when things aren’t moving as fast as you’d like, but I constantly remind myself to “remember my future.”

Trust the power of self-talk

Positive self-talk is one of the most important elements of manifestation. What you say to yourself becomes your reality. In the early stages of building Limitless Slides, I would remind myself daily of my potential and the impact my product could have. This practice not only boosted my confidence but also shaped the way I approached challenges. Limitless Slides itself was born from this belief—placing affirmations directly on the footbed so that every time someone steps into them, they are reminded of their own strength and limitless potential. Self-talk isn’t just motivation—it’s the foundation of how you create your reality.

Surround yourself with positive energy

Who you surround yourself with matters. Your energy can either be elevated or drained by the people around you. Early in my journey, I made it a priority to connect with individuals who shared my vision, pushed me to think bigger, and believed in my success. This positive energy isn’t just about good vibes—it’s about creating an environment that supports your manifestation. Surrounding yourself with people who align with your goals reinforces the vision and helps keep you on track when self-doubt creeps in. These are the people who will remind you to “remember your future” when you start to lose sight of it.

Celebrate every win, big and small

It’s easy to focus only on big milestones, but small wins matter just as much, if not more. I’ve experienced moments of huge success, like being featured on the Today Show and partnering with WIFLE (Women in Federal Law Enforcement). Those were big wins, but I also celebrate the days when I sell just one pair of Limitless Slides. Early in my journey, I would literally celebrate selling one slide a day, and even now, as Limitless Slides grows, I remind myself that those small wins are what built the bigger ones. Manifestation is about appreciating every step along the way, because it’s those small wins that keep the momentum going.

Stay committed to the long-term vision

Manifestation takes time, and it’s crucial to remain committed, even when progress seems slow. Building a brand like Limitless Slides has been a journey of ups and downs, but throughout it all, I’ve stayed anchored to my long-term vision. It’s easy to get discouraged when things aren’t moving as fast as you’d like, but I constantly remind myself to “remember my future”—to stay connected to the outcome I’m working toward. It’s this commitment that keeps me moving forward, no matter how long it takes. Success doesn’t happen overnight, but if you stay focused and consistent, it will come.
